Jinggangshan

Jinggangshan is located in the southwest of Jiangxi province. It has a population of 149.7 thousand and covers an area of 1291.5 square kilometers. The city is an old revolutionary base.
Jinggangshan is known as “the cradle of China’s revolution.” In August 1927, Mao Zedong, along with other revolutionaries, founded the first rural revolutionary base here, beginning a new era in Chinese history.
Besides being a famous revolutionary base, Jinggangshan is also well-known for its natural beauty.
